Read an Ebook Week

I decided to participate in Read an Ebook Week, 6th to 12th March, 2011.

I have not done this before, and am not sure how it works, but the instructions on Smashwords say “Once you enroll, customers will obtain your books using one of special coupon codes, which they’ll at checkout to receive the discount.”

So, if you want 50% discount on my two novels, visit my Smashwords Author page, select the novel you want, and, I believe, the discount will apply at the checkout.

It will be interesting to see if there is much participation in this activity. On the other hand, I can participate and purchase a few books during the week to read what other authors are publishing these days.

Is anyone else participating in this?

Have you done so before? Please comment on how any outcomes from last year, whether you had lots of downloads, or only a few. Did you notice an increase in sales after the Read an Ebook Week ended?

No I haven’t participated with this. It’s a good promotion. I’ll be interested to hear how it goes.

Apparently there were so many on the Smashwords site it crashed on Sunday or Monday. It was quickly fixed. 🙂
